The path our team has chosen leans heavily on the first part of the season. How you score there makes or breaks a season. What comes after could be just a bonus or a cloth for bleeding.
It started off disappointing with Blekevicius not getting further than 4th in GC of Taiwan Black Bear Tour, with just 1 stage result and not even at the CL stage. Also just a third in the Passadicos race straight after. In between Alpe d'Huez Classic appeared to be just as cursed as always. However day 9 brought unexpected light with a BA win in Glasgow - Dundee. The light carried on for a while. Eissh Downhill was conquered for a third time in a row and most importantly Douglas Andren finally added a much desired trophy to the palmares. With a win in ZBZ the season could be deemed a success.
The rest of the season was going up and down, but more steadily positive than the season before. On the negative side there was the not getting any new CL scalp yet again on the positive side Mugeni managed to sneak himself into s podium spot at Germany Tour. A nice new challenge is acquiring national jerseys. I've hunted on 4 of those and lost only one in the final race of the season. Congratulations go out to Carcycl for grabbing the jersey of Romania.
